Workshop Announcement: Introvert-Friendly Social Strategies for Gatherings & Events

Introducing my upcoming virtual workshop happening March 30, 2026: "Introvert-Friendly Social Strategies for Gatherings & Events"

You know that feeling of not belonging in any social setting you walk into?

I used to feel that way, too.

When you walk into a social event, you want to feel like you belong; you want to make connections; you want to get rid of that fear and nervousness that shows up whenever you have to socialize.

But navigating social settings is just too much. The loud chatter, the shear amount of people, and those racing thoughts saying you should’ve just stayed in the comfort of your home; that’s a lot to handle as an introvert like yourself, especially if you have some of the additional social challenges and difficulties that I know many in you experience — shyness, social anxiety, social awkwardness, or symptoms of being on the spectrum.

When you walk into a room, you don’t know what to say or do, you don’t know who to talk to or who wants to talk to you, and when you start looking at the other people in the room who have no trouble socializing, you start feeling even worse about your own lack of confidence and social prowess.

It’s time to STOP feeling this way and start socializing using strategies that work for your needs and abilities.

That’s why I created this workshop for introverts like you who find socializing to be tricky and nerve-racking; I want you to experience social confidence without having to act like an extroverted social butterfly.

Hello to all of you who are tuning into this episode of the introverted misfit podcast. My name is Caroline, a.k.a. The Introverted Misfit, and with my brand and coaching services, I help introverts who feel like they don’t quite fit in, find their place in this world. That includes overcoming things like shyness and social awkwardness, and helping you find a community that’s best suited for your personality and social needs.

In place of the usual 20- to 25-minute episode, I have a very short and quick one this week.

This is my official announcement of my upcoming virtual workshop: Introvert-Friendly Social Strategies for Gatherings & Events.

I have been hinting at this workshop for the past two weeks all over Instagram, Facebook, and on my podcast just a few episodes back, and now it is open for registration, but I wanted to take a few minutes to tell you why you should consider buying your ticket and joining me on March 30, 2026 for this workshop.

You know that feeling of not belonging in any social setting you walk into?

I have a strong feeling you know exactly what that feels like, because you’re listening to my podcast!

Well, I used to feel that, too. When you walk into a social event, you want to feel like you belong; you want to make connections; you want to get rid of that fear and nervousness that comes up whenever you have to socialize.

But it’s all too much. The loud chatter, the shear amount of people, and those racing thoughts saying you should’ve just stayed in the comfort of your home; that’s a lot to navigate as an introvert like yourself, especially if you have some of the additional social challenges and difficulties that I know many in my audience experiences — shyness, social anxiety, social awkwardness, or symptoms of being on the spectrum.

You don’t know what to say or do, you don’t know who to talk to or who wants to talk to you, and when you start looking at the other people in the room who don’t seem to experience social difficulties, you start to feel even worse about your own lack of confidence and social prowess.

It’s time to STOP feeling this way and start socializing using a strategy that works for your needs and abilities.

That’s why I created this workshop for introverts like you who find socializing to be tricky and nerve-racking; I want you to experience social confidence without having to act like an extroverted social butterfly.

Here’s what you’ll learn in the workshop:

  • Pregame strategies to do before the event that will calm your nerves and prepare you for the event

Because we do our best socializing when we’re prepared

  • Gametime strategies to do during the event that are all introvert-friendly

Because successful socializing doesn’t have to look like being an extroverted social butterfly

  • How to read the social cues of who might be open to engaging with you

Because knowing the signs can be a little tricky in group environments

  • Social battery management tips to prevent overstimulation and burnout mid-event

Because let’s face it, socializing can be tiring and mentally taxing for us

  • Tips for participating in group conversations

Because group discussions require a little more mental energy for us

  • Exit strategies for when it’s time to leave

Because one of the best ways to stay connected past the event is knowing how to say goodbye

Here’s what is NOT in this workshop:

  • How to socialize like an extrovert

This workshop is not about pretending to be someone you’re not; it’s about connecting with your strengths, abilities, and preferences while still taking care of your needs.

  • How to be 100% perfect in every social interaction

My tools I teach are not about being socially perfect. True social confidence is about feeling comfortable in social settings without excessively worrying about judgement and rejection, but no matter how confident anyone is, trying to be perfect is a losing game. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to be OK with your differences and awkward moments without obsessing over them.

Workshop Details:

  • When: Monday, March 30, 2026

  • Where: Online via Zoom

  • What Time: 6 - 7:30 PM CST

  • Who: For introverts who find navigating social events/gatherings to be tricky and nerve-racking. Even better if you identify as being shy, socially awkward, and/or Autistic with low support needs (meaning your social and communication struggles can be mostly managed by yourself or with low support)

  • Cost: $35 ($27 early bird pricing ends March 23)
