If you have not already joined The Right Fit Community by filling out the form on this page, please do so in addition to registering for a meet-up; this ensures you receive all of my email reminders about future meet-ups and more important information/updates.
Paint Away the Social Spookies + 1st Anniversary Celebration
Does socializing give you the heebie jeebies? Let’s fix that! Come paint some spooky pottery alongside other adults with social fears, differences, and difficulties. Wear a halloween-themed shirt/outfit OR come as you are. Bring money for your pottery selection (anywhere from $14 – $70).
This is an extra special meet-up because it’s the 1st anniversary of what is now known as The Right Fit Community! It all started on October 6, 2025 with just a handful of people. To make this a night to remember, invite a friend, colleague/coworker, family member, etc. so we can have a great turnout — even if they don’t experience social difficulties. Cupcakes will be provided to celebrate this special day!

Collage, Coffee, & Quirks @ Well Red
Create art without overthinking alongside other adults with social fears, differences, and difficulties! The organizer will provide scissors, tape, glue, magazines, and other materials. You can bring your own collage materials if you want, but we’ll have plenty for everyone!
Please buy at least one menu item from Well Red: Second Story during your time here. For adults age 18+.

When: Friday, Sept. 18, 2026 | 6 PM – 8 PM CST. Eat/drink first, and then get to collage-ing!
Where: Well Red: Second Story (Outdoor Patio), 1150 N Donahue Dr, Auburn, AL 36832
What to Pay: Money for coffee, tea, drinks, and pastires. Registration is free, but please buy at least one menu item during our time here!
What to Bring: The organizer will have plenty of materials for everyone, but if you want, you’re welcome to bring some of your own or donate to the planning fund.
What is collage? Collage is an artistic composition made of various materials (such as paper, cloth, or wood) glued on a surface. It can have a theme, or not! See below images for examples:

Game Day: Sip & Play @ The Bean
Does socializing overwhelm you? Join us as we play cards and board games with other shy, socially awkward, or autistic adults (with low support needs), and enjoy delicious brunch food, desserts, and blended drinks. Win or lose, you will have a great time!
If you prefer solo activities, there will be some of those, too, so you can play something by yourself in the company of others.

When: Saturday, August 8, 2026 from 11:30 AM — 2:00 PM CST. Check-in from 11:30 — 11:45 PM. We will start passing out games at 11:45.

Gaming Night: Sip & Play @ Well Red: Second Story
It’s time to sip and play! Come play board games and other activities in a low-pressure, collaborative setting with other shy, awkward, or Autistic adults with low support needs. We’ll also enjoy delicious coffee, tea, wine, and pastry selections available at Well Red: Second Story, one of Auburn’s most unique coffee shops which also has a wine bar and a book store. Win or lose, you are sure to have a great time and make a new friend!
If you prefer solo activities, there will be some of those, too, so you can play something by yourself in the company of others. Win or lose, we are sure to have a great time! Please note there are 3 different Well Red locations in Auburn, so make sure you come to the correct one listed here!

Pottery Painting Night (No Small Talk Required)
Does socializing overwhelm you, make you nervous, drained, or confuse you? Whatever your social struggles are, this meet-ups is the perfect place for you! Join members of The Right Fit Community as we paint away our social inhibitions in a low-pressure environment alongside other shy, socially awkward, or Autistic adults with low support needs. It’s the perfect opportunity to embrace your creative side and take the pressure off socializing. The best part is that small talk is optional! You can come to socialize and connect, or just paint without too much chatter.
Bring money for your pottery selection. For adults age 18+.

Parking: This location is in downtown Opelika, so there is on-street parking available and there are spots in nearby lots.
What to Bring: Money for your pottery selection (pottery costs anywhere from $10—$100)
House Rules: No outside food allowed in the building, and everyone who stays must paint something, even if you are accompanying/supervising a meet-up attendee.

Wine Away Your Social Inhibitions
Enjoy a selection of wine, non-alcoholic beverages, and light refreshments at Santé Wine Bar and Shop with other shy, awkward, or low support needs Autistic adults as we engage in a variety of icebreaker activities that will have you chatting!
If you are a parent or guardian, you are welcome to accompany a meet-up attendee to this event. Grab a table and sip some wine with us!
YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR KNOWING YOUR OWN ALCOHOL LIMITS AND HAVING A RIDE HOME. WAIVERS MUST BE SIGNED UPON ARRIVAL.

A Season’s Greetings Paint Party (And Food Drive)
The holiday season is no time for being lonely. Let’s bring in the holiday season with social greetings as we paint pottery alongside other shy, socially awkward, or LSN Autistic adults. We’ll paint Christmas cheer & beat social fear!
Plus, optionally bring a few non-perishable food items for a mini food drive to spread even more Christmas cheer! Monetary donations will also be accepted. We will be donating to the Food Bank of East Alabama.
Meet-Up Info:
When: December 15, 2025, @ 6 — 8 PM CST

House Rules: No outside food allowed in the building, and everyone who stays must paint something, even if you are accompanying/supervising a meet-up attendee.

What to Wear: This is an outdoor venue in mid-November. The patio has overhead heaters that work well in case it’s on the cooler side, but dress comfortably for the weather.
