A Season’s Greetings Paint Party (And Food Drive)
The holiday season is no time for being lonely. Let’s bring in the holiday season with social greetings as we paint pottery alongside other shy, socially awkward, or LSN Autistic adults. We’ll paint Christmas cheer & beat social fear!
Plus, optionally bring a few non-perishable food items for a mini food drive to spread even more Christmas cheer! Monetary donations will also be accepted. We will be donating to the Food Bank of East Alabama.
Meet-Up Info:
When: December 15, 2025, @ 6 — 8 PM CST
Where: The Fired Fox Art Studio, 207 South 8th Street, Ste 120, Opelika, AL, 36801
Parking: This location is in downtown Opelika, so there is on-street parking available and there are spots in nearby lots.
What to Wear: Come as you are OR wear something festive (a Christmas sweater/shirt, holiday colors, etc.)
What to Bring: Money for your pottery selection (pottery costs anywhere from $10—$100) and optionally a few non-perishable food items for a mini food drive (cash donations will also accepted).
House Rules: No outside food allowed in the building, and everyone who stays must paint something, even if you are accompanying/supervising a meet-up attendee.
Food Bank of East Alabama’s Most Needed Items:
You can bring whatever non-perishable food items and care items you want, but here is a list of most needed items taken directly from the food bank’s website:
Canned meats (chicken, tuna)
Canned fruits & vegetables
Soups, canned meals
Pasta, rice, cereal
100% juice
Personal care items (toothpaste, soap, toilet paper)
You can also donate funds via the website!
Misfit Gaming Night: Sip & Play @ The Bean
It’s time to sip and play! Come play board games and other activities in a low-pressure, collaborative setting with other shy, awkward, or LSN Autistic adults. We’ll also enjoy delicious coffee, tea, blended drinks, brunch, and desserts available at The Bean in Auburn. Win or lose, you are sure to have a great time and make a new friend!
If you prefer solo activities, there will be some of those, too, so you can play something by yourself in the company of others.
Meet-Up Info:
When: January 12, 2026, @ 6 — 8:30 PM CST. Check-in from 6 — 6:15 PM. We will start passing out games at 6:15.
Where: The Bean, 140 A N Dean Rd, Auburn, AL 36830
What to Pay: Money for coffee, tea, blended drinks, and brunch food or desserts. Registration is free, but you MUST buy one drink AND one food item with 15% gratuity for staff!
What to Bring: I plan on providing 10-15 games, but if you can or want to, bring one game/activity to play with others or by yourself.
Misfit Gaming Night: Sip & Play @ Well Red
It’s time to sip and play! Come play board games and other activities in a low-pressure, collaborative setting with other shy, awkward, or LSN Autistic adults. We’ll also enjoy delicious coffee, tea, wine, and pastry selections available at Well Red: Second Story, one of Auburn’s most unique coffee shops which also has a wine bar and a book store. Win or lose, you are sure to have a great time and make a new friend!

What to Wear: This is an outdoor venue in mid-November. The patio has overhead heaters that work well in case it’s on the cooler side, but dress comfortably for the weather.
What to Pay: Money for coffee, tea, wine, and pastries. Registration is free, but you MUST buy at least one menu item during our time here.
What to Bring: I plan on providing 10-15 games, but if you can or want to, bring one game/activity to play with others or by yourself.

Paint Away the Social Spookies
Does the idea of talking to people give you the heebie jeebies? Well, here’s your chance to get rid of the “social spookies.” Join us at Glazed PYOP where you can paint some pottery and practice your conversational skills with other shy and awkward (or low support needs Autistic) adults in a low-pressure, judgement-free environment!
